Have a good one!!!

(remember ghost hunters live tonight too, if you like that show. starts at 6!!)

Hope (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Have a great one yourself ..we are putting some final touches outside to set the mood for thrilling the little ones muahahahahha

Penny Lane --- 8 years ago -

YOU TOO! now i am just waiting until tomorrow when the "i will take you candy off your hands" ads to show up because i find them really funny!

Torri --- 8 years ago -

Did not like the treat or treating hours on post! It kinda took from the Halloween feel! Blah to daylight trick or treating! But I swear I went thru 20lbs of candy in less than an hour! CRAZY!

Not in Kansas anymore --- 8 years ago -

I did't think I would like the 5-7 hours either, but now that I look at it there were more little kids than older ones (high school) with these hours. I really enjoyed seeing all the wee one all dressed up!

We went through way more candy than I thought possible! It was way worth it (just wish I would have had one that could have went out so I could get some candy ..hahah...)

BadLuckMommy --- 8 years ago -

My kids had an awesome time, I would have been happier if when I got home all the candy was gone, but apparently we didn't get many trick or treaters this year :( I still had almost a full bowl left. I just gave it out in handfulls, so now its all gone...whew! Hope everyones evening went well and everyone had a fun time!

daisypetals2000 --- 8 years ago -

i left a bowl on my porch and it was totally empty by the time i got back an hour and a half later. not sure if someone took all of it or what... I handed candy and glow bracelets out as we walked along to the kiddos. It was fun. :)

Deon's wife (Donna) --- 8 years ago -

I only gave away a 1/4 of the candy I bought :( Last year I had a huge bowl with about 15 lbs of candy and it was empty in about an hour. I don't know where the trick or treaters were this year. I hope whereever they were they were safe and having fun!

Thank you to the ones who did leave candy out on your porch. I was a little worried that because most have kids around here that there wouldnt be much trick or treating to do. We have never gone on post before. My boys got a ton of candy. My daughter decided she wanted to be a grumpy/whiny Tinkerbell so she sat in the stroller the last half. I think the people who let there children go in skimpy outfits with no jacket or cloths on underneath were crazy. There was a little girl about 3 out there in a fairy outfit with nothing underneath so she had bare arms and legs. That costume isnt that warm! Common sense.

Oh don't get me started on costumes...lol WOW oh wow...apparently if you are an adult female its almost manditory that you dress like a slut, based on this years selection. WOW even little girls around 12 years old with their @sses hanging out. I know they were cold, because I was and I had on jeans, and a hoody! Some parents really need to rethink what parenting is!

On the positive side, I did love the fact that there were adults dressed up. I seen gumby, Captain America, a dead Doctor, a few witches (not skimpy) it was nice!

I figured everyone went to Forsyth so I went to Officer's Housing. I go there every year because they always participate and really get into the holiday, that and less kids running everywhere (especially in the street)

AMEN!!! Holy shiz! We saw one chick in a varsity cheerleading dress that was maybe 14 that had more cleavage than a hooker. It was bad!!! I would never let my daughter dress like that...and if she did i had better not find out haha. It was crazy...saw another chick in a jersey and booty shorts...it was f'n cold!! Crazy people.

i took my costume which the dress in places literally ended at my CROTCH and paired it with some leggings from the px... pinned up the bustline a little and threw on a cloak. i was still a little unsure if it was appropriate or not. wtf. maybe i am just a little more modest than most. It reminded me of something you would buy from an adult store when I got it (mail order)...

Cristy --- 8 years ago -

I was amazed at how much candy we went through! I bought one of those big black cauldrons from Wal-Mart and had it over flowing and we had several more bags that wouldn't fit and STILL ran out! I was pretty upset at how many older kids were out though. I understand that they still want to have fun but when your 16+ you really shouldn't be Trick-or-treating (Just Saying) and Oh my lord I know we have a lot of People in Forsyth but I swear it was like EVERYONE on post came to our neighborhood lol

Torri --- 8 years ago -

It was so nice then the temp just dipped way down. Then the wind picked up! I was cold and I was wearing a jersey, with a long sleeve shirt and jeans! Then I went and got a sweater and was still chilly. Brrr but you know what....it was warmer here than it is in NY today...lol Snowing up in Rochester!

BadLuckMommy --- 8 years ago -

EEEwwwww, snow I don't even want to fathom that right about now. I am enjoying fall, and want it to skip winter right into spring..I would be one happy camper then :)

Torri --- 8 years ago -

I lived up in that mess for 9 years. But you know what as far as posts go, I would deal with the snow in a heart beat to get off of Riley. I cannot think of 1 Halloween we didnt have to trick or treat in snow, or rain...lol

BadLuckMommy --- 8 years ago -

Well hopefully when the hubby returns we will be on our way out soon after he gets back...hopefully! Have been here way toooooooooo long. I want to go back to the south where its warm!

Torri --- 8 years ago -

My husband re-ups indef this month. I am hoping that when he does it will show options for a different post. I HOPE, I HOPE, I HOPE! Everything I have is crossed!!! lol I just want to move back to the East Coast, I wont even be greedy...just closer to the east coast will be fine. I am not a Midwest kinda girl!

laura --- 8 years ago -

I'm from MN. Back in 93 when we had our Halloween Blizzard my sister and I still went out!! I was a waitress on roller skates. Put my snowpants on and went. Best Halloween EVER. Mind you I was I think 10 lol. Hardly anyone out and my sister and I came home with 2 pillow cases full of candy!!!lol

Bahahahahaha!!! This is that the hubby had to comment on! This, and the fact that he watched a mother drive down the street in her car while her children walked beside it to trick or treat. Am I not mistaken but last night was one cold night? When the hubby told me this, I basically looked at him and said sounds like she is lazy. I mean come on, sit in your warm car and walk while your kids trick or treat? Btw, the kids were at least 9 and under too. If my husband, who abhors to go out in crowds and deal with stuff like this, can get out and take his kids trick or treating (I had to work) plus avoid the temptation to sit in our car, then someone else can too. I mean come on! Geesh.

Maybe that wasn't the situation. Probably was, but maybe it wasn't. I know one year I had knee surgery, my husband was deployed and I didn't have any neighbors that I liked, so I had to take my kids trick or treating just like that. We were walking on about 6 inches of ice, so I couldnt do the crutches thing. It left me resorting to escorting my kids by car.

There was one house in our neighborhood that was the Wizard of Oz characters and the lady was the tin man and she was in a skimpy outfit and my husband say it haha he told me " well if we cant get candy we can go back to tin girls house and sit there for a while" haha He's such a perv!
