❤Married2aFox❤ --- 15 years ago -

I miss Wawa...if you're from the NY/NJ/PA area you know what I'm talking about!!!

~*Kandice*~ --- 15 years ago -

I miss real southern cooking...(i mean i can cook but i miss going and eating it somewhere) ( i also really really really miss Krystal burgers) I miss the laid back feel of where i'm from. Just it being nice and peaceful. I really miss the beach too! Even though at the moment i couldnt go because its covered in oil....

daisypetals2000 --- 15 years ago -

lets see... i miss the fact that you can actually go in public and come across "NICE" ppl to chat with. shoot, i am lucky if the cashiers at walmart in jc even speak at all. i miss that 'texas friendly' atmosphere. now i do miss the shopping in KC... not much at "hell in the hills" ;)

hillzzwife01 --- 15 years ago -

um lets see.... i miss 7/11 slurpees, flavor freeze ice cream, hot & now, hearing the trains at all hours [however i don't miss being stuck at railroad crossings at least once a day lol] i also miss hearing the traffic on the road next to my house at all hours [ellis heights is way too quiet] i miss the riverwalks and parks, i miss being downtown... i miss sittin on my porch and watchin the cops do there rounds lol. i just miss all the action basically. its never quiet in the hood, something crazy is always poppin off lol. its so boring out here!

josie --- 15 years ago -

❤Married2aFox❤ --- 15 years ago -

giffs fam --- 15 years ago -

Well since im from a small town where everyone knows everyone and everyone knows everyones buisness. I dont really miss anything along those lines lol. But i do miss the BBQ sauce that is made like 5 miles out of my home town and the salsa that is made like 20 miles out of my home town i can only find it in my home town. Sad part is i was just home and i never picked up either one of them and wont be going back till probably xmas. Oh well i will live with out them. and RYANS STEAK HOUSe, and Hardee's breakfast YUM MISS THOSE TOO

Jennie --- 15 years ago -

i am lucky if the cashiers at walmart in jc even speak at all. LOL get them at 3AM in the morning! I found those all-night cashiers LOVE to talk. After I get off work most Saturday nights/Sunday mornings that's where I am at, and they can talk your ear off. PLUS, they are more helpful and not as rude. The day shift cashiers don't impress me. I miss being able to actually order REAL sweet tea! LMAO!!! The hubby and I just talked about this today when ordering his sweet tea from Sonic. He is a sweet tea critic. It's gotta have a lb or two of sugar in it to be sweet ;) As far as the original question though... I miss the variety of restaurants, thrift stores, bookstores (second hand and chain), and the mom/pop establishments in our downtown in my home town. As well as the fact Lambert's is only 20 mins away!

coco --- 15 years ago -

I miss OpryMills Mall.. miss Jack in the Box...the mexican lady who sold the BEST tamales out of her car..Ryans Steakhouse.. and thats only in Nashville.. now NYC I miss Chinatown, Little Italy, just NYC in general.. now Miami.. miss the AWESOME Cuban food...the music..all music has a latin twist on it..now for Cali.. San Francisco..San Jose..the little taco vendor downtown Modesto..

Madonna --- 15 years ago -

from my home, i miss, the 27-7 hot sun. i miss my accent (who i only seem to hear when i'm around family cause everyone else has to go "HUH??" like 24 million times lol) i miss the food and the people. i miss being able to go to a beach that has teal blue water and you can see through it. i miss island quiet living =(. from CALI i miss my friends i made,i also miss the cali people, and how everything was laid back, it was also the first place i ever met a Samoan =). i miss jack in the box and Carl's Jr. (even though i thought i wouldn't) i miss ruby's diner I miss CALIFORNIA BURRITOS!! i miss being able to go to a flippin subway and asking for Avocado and not being looked at like i was high. lol. I used to miss GA but not so much anymore. only thing i miss from there is my mother in law's pound cakes, and her food. (

I miss DUNKIN DONUTS!!! cheesesteaks, pretzels, chickies and petes crab fries, Phillies games, going to the "corner store", the pizza, chinese food, closeness of shopping and of course family. If I could take everything I love about Philly and bring it to Kansas I'd be in heaven!

Jennie, What is Lambert's? Its a restaurant in Sikeston, MO. Well that is that is the 1st restaurant that Mr. Lambert opened. Its the home of the thrown rolls! YUUUUUMMMMYYYY FOOD!!!! They also make sure you don't leave hungry, lol. Here is their website: http://www.throwedrolls.com/ There are other restaurants throughout the country, but this restaurant holds a special place in my heart. Did anyone else notice how much we all miss food from back home? LOL

Madonna --- 15 years ago -

lol yea

hillzzwife01 --- 15 years ago -

i also miss trips to the dunes on lake michigan and i very much miss weekend trips out to chicago... lol i noticed as well that the majority of things missed were food. back home i miss how all the fast food places are open at least till 1am if not 3am. everything here closes sooooo early!

I miss Crab Chips! And real seafood!!!!

qiwks --- 15 years ago -

i miss the holiday and the festivities! everyone always goes all out! so much fun!

shan421 --- 15 years ago -

I miss Crab Chips! And real seafood!!!! Me too! I just recently went home so I was able to indulge...but I miss it whenever I am here for too long lol. I also miss having sub shops...I haven't been able to find one that is a true sub shop, like family owned. If you want a sub, it has to be Subway or Domino's. It's just not the same! I also miss Royal Farms..which if you're from the MD/south PA you may know about it, but their hot foods are great, especially the fried chicken! I could go on, but think it's so funny that most of us refer to food! lol

MrsCummings --- 15 years ago -

I miss downtown and all the things to do there, and like so many have said I miss the southern hospitality. I miss having a variety of things to choose from!!! I miss Houston,TX!

Madonna --- 15 years ago -
