MAKE YOUR KID A CAKE AND QUIT WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BUY YOUR STUFF!! Seriously, take responsibility for this and fix it. You don't have to spend $100 for you to give your child a bday.  

Well it could be a certain circumstance that no one know's about going on in this person's life, she could be honestly hurting for money because she's dealing with things going on in her personal life, I give this lady propts for at least trying. Or on the other hand she could be just trying to sell stuff and make other's feel bad to get a sale. You never know the story or whats going on unless you ask... 

she can always take the wii to the pawn shop and hock it if shes desperate as well as a few other things she has listed....shes been listing for the past few days and todays the kids bday ...now might be the time to try something else

I'm sorry, but if you wait until the last minute and beg people to buy your stuff that's sad. People need to take responsibility and deal with it with a little dignity. She doesn't have a cake on her sons bday, seriously? MAKE IT YOURSELF. Like I said, we have had some very hard times, but we adapted and were grateful for what we did have. You can buy a cake mix for $.99, there is no reason to beg someone else to bail you out. 

And the fact she is sitting at the computer begging others to help instead of doing everything she can to make his day special really doesn't help. 

Well I agree with you, all I was saying was that you never know something could of happened, that brought her to this outcome. But like Hope said earlier if she's really desperate take her wii to cd trade post or something and hock it! There's money for the kid's bday. 

From my experiences, people believe they have a better chance of selling something if theres a story involved, be it about the item, or the reason for selling. Its usually always BS. And really, theres no rule saying you have to celebrate on the birthday. I've scheduled our "parties" around pay days durring times when things were tight. 

fry, i had his cake ordered, just needed to be paid for and pciked up, a party planned for this weekend and money set aside for him to go pick out his presents today BUT a couple days a go the engine blew up on our vehicle and we had to buy a new one and it took all of our savings and then some. I never once begged for charity, just simply asked for y'all to look at MY STUFF and see if there is anything you might be interested in BUYING. We dont ever play the Wii or use the stuff I am selling and last time I checked, selling my own stuff is NOT charity. For those of you that took a look, thank you!! I got some stuff sold and Jake had a fantastic birthday!! For those of you that are critisizing, GET A LIFE!! You are obviously miserable people that want to make everyone else miserable too. I will pray to God to help you to be less judgmental, close-minded, nosey jerks in the future:) 

I stand by my post, I don't feel sorry for people who keep begging for people to buy their stuff and put their business out there for all to see. I still think there are many other ways to take care of your private money situations without plastering it on RYS, have some dignity. I didn't call you names and go off the deep end, but you can make all the comments you want. 

WHATEVER STUFF-ADDICT (TIFFANY) you repost your stuff all the damn time, how many times do we need to see your stuff? why don't you wait the 45 days like your supposed to before reposting and stop acting all high and mighty on here!!

Nope don't know you, don't care to know you i just know who you are on rys...get a life and don't worry about what someone else does, hell noone flags you for reposting after only a day but i think i'll start and get all my friends to do the same, so don't get mad you'll already know who did it!!!

Ladies, LAdies come on...seriously. Is it that big of deal? I understand your frustrations at some posts, I get annoyed, but I just click to the next page/item. I don't believe stories that are told ( No offense Amber) I have just had people try to put sobs stories out for their stuff to sell, I know its pathetic but I don't put it past the people that are known for it. I know this might sound bad but I am not buying anything unless I want it, story or no story.

lol there will be no duke out. Im just irritated taht people automatically asume I was telling a "sob story" i wasnt, I basically just said hey I need money for this so please check out my items if you havent yet...not a big deal at all!

it has its waves....BUT the ladies on here are actually really great girls...just some are more opinionated than others. Believe me a lot of them on here are the most giving and unselfish people you will ever meet!

I'm an open book. I say what I am thinking without thinking it through though..lol. your idea of a sob story differs it seems from what others take as one ...in your ad(which was listed each one multiple times over the past few days) you stated please .....my son ...no money for birthday ect ect ect...if you was not looking for sympathy why not just advertise them. why put your business out there ..yes crap happens to people and people get into binds but you saying you wasnt using the kids bday to sell the items is crazy
im glad you got the money and it worked out. people will think what they will and regardless of how you ment it some see it as a sob story you cant argue how people saw it. 

a sob story to me is "boo hoo give me charity and hand-outs" i wasnt asking for anything of the sort.
