Where are you headed? 

We will be here at Ft Riley until Jun 2012. That is when my oldest graduates HS. That will make it 6 yrs here. Wow! 

I'll be here till 2011. Hopefully shortly after hubby gets back from deployment we will be moving. He's goign to be looking at options of where we can go about half way though deployment. That will put us here a little over 4 years by that time

we are here indefinately... oh well... i guess... 

We will be PCSing to Fort Riley on March 1st. Im nervous as heck! We will be there for a year then when hubs re-ups he is putting in for somewhere else. 

I have no clue when he will PCS we will be here for sure until 2012 which will put us here for 6 years. 

In may i will have already been here for 6 years, my husband is fenced in and suposed to go to iraq at the end of this year... sooo... apparently we aren't going anywhere for a WHILE... allthough u never know what will happen when he gets back from Iraq this time, im pretty sure we will still be stuck here :( 

God willing we will PCS after this deployment (so 18 months or less left here hopefully)...Anywhere but Sill, Hood, Drum or Bragg are ok with the hubby...I'd prefer east coast to be closer to my parents (they are getting older) or if not, then Germany or Ft Lewis (LOVE the Seattle area)... Once he gets to Iraq he'll re-up and we'll figure out our destination...then the countdown will begin! :) 

getting Germany was easy!! LOL All he did was requested it and in like 4 days they came back with a yes and he reenlisted....not to mention the nice sign on bonus we got for going over there!! This is my second attempt this time we will go places cause i will not be preggers all the time!!!!!!

No clue where we are going though next as his window opens soon for re-enlistment and like I said, no choice for us---he has been in too long. Also we no longer have the bonus option.

He was in Iraq thats the only reason he got a bonus. Hes been in almost 9 years (including 3 reserve time) and we have never got a bonus so anything was nice! I also know it depends on the MOS we just lucked out i guess.

The best option is just do it when deployed, because of no taxes being taken out. Too many don't realize that if you don't ask, the Army isn't going to pony up the dough. My hubby has just went past the time in service to even qualify for a Charlie bonus. Now mine will sale back leave when he re-enlists, as he never uses all his leave, lol.

Also there is no guarantee that you will even stay at that choice either. We picked FLW, MO for its closeness to my family and only were there a year instead of the full 3 we had anticipated. Never forget, needs of the Army rules it all, so you are only guaranteed 12 mons before the Army can uproot you...that is unless you are "on the trail" (Drill) or recruiting, then that changes to 24 mons. Sucks big time when you just got settled and you are told, nope time to move again. 

we got stuck at Ft. Stewart for almost 6 yrs..ugh. We're hoping to stay here for a while but since we want to stay here we'll probably get sent somewhere stupid like California or something! haha

I think i spent enough time in cali, but i would definately take that over alaska. i am sure it is beautiful, but i am just not that into the snow scene... 

whats sad is i'd rather go to Alaska then cali i am just not a cali person...i think i would go into shock haha. 

I wish we could PCS...lol I guess as civilians we would have to just "move." But thats so much harder!
