I was sitting at the light at mccormick and trooper this morning facing forsyth, there was an MP in the LEFT hand lane with his right blinker on.I went in the lane to cross straight over, I look in my rear view mirror and the MP made a right turn from a left hand lane cut straight across and then into the shopette. Hmmm let me count how many tickets I would have been issued had I tried that move in front of an MP. And no there was no emergency, no lights and no sirens...

Nice try on the diss, but he was at the intersection when he was dispatched to the shoppette for a complaint. Not all police action requires lights and sirens.

I'd rather complain about something like them sitting in their cars by the airfield watching stuff back up and get stupid before they consider stepping out and doing something... oh and then in the winter time... good luck getting them out of the car to direct traffic in the winter. They enjoy sitting the car too much year round, but winter time its worse.

Don't always assume that the MP's or police are doing some illegal because they can. 9 times out of 10 it is because they are needed ASAP.

Actually GV he was not at the intersection because I saw him do it there were 3 cars he cut off. So maybe instead of trying to make someone else look bad you should know your facts. I was at the light at 648 and was 2 cars behind them. I don't know why people get do upset when others point things out about the MP's they are not gods and they do wrong also. So nice try GV

I know this is hard to believe, but people do things on the job that they aren't supposed to all the time. Shocker. I know. Maybe he was needed at the Shoppette, maybe he wasn't. There is always that 1 out of 10 times, right? lol.

Some of the MPs here exhibit some pretty frustrating behavior. General concensus here is that we don't know if they're doing it on purpose, or if they're made to make questionable decisions because of their higher-ups or some strange, red-tape policy.

When it snows here, it really comes down. So the last major snowstorm we had, there was a 7 car accident (which I witnessed) involving people heading towards the gate I'd just entered. One truck skidded towards a ditch, a car behind him hit his bumper, and then so on and so-forth until 7 cars were involved. Well, the snow was blinding, traffic in both lanes were backed up (because one of the cars had drifted into our lane, blocking it off), and we (literally sat there for 45 minutes waiting on the MPs to come. At first I thought, "Well, don't get too upset with the police; budget cuts mean that they've got less officers on the force and they're probably tending to other problems on post." That is, until traffic began to move and I looked off to the left and saw an MP standing outside his SUV, leaning on the door, hands in his pockets, watching the carnage. WTF? Why are you there? You don't see the struggle in front of you? Why are you standing back there chilling when people need help? Ugh...

He may have been told by his bosses to not get involved at the time (for whatever reason), but geez, it would surely have been better for him to stay out of sight than to just stand there with his hands in his pockets while traffic was backed up for an hour.

There are some MPs that are still in training and not yet certified for something's and there was nothing for them to do without the proper training. Could have been a supervisor and sometimes they have to step back and let the others handle situations. You only know what you see and not the whole story.
