My husband had put on his wish list for 3 positions at ft polk. There are 19 positions available for his mos and rank. What are the chances he gets what he wants? 

Depends on timing and how many other people put in for those slots. I asked for an overseas tour and got Fort Riley. Thats about as far from overseas as yo can get. 

So there is alot of people wanting overseas? Thats the last place we want. From what i heard people hate polk. Hoping thats an advantage for us

Me too, lol. It has been built up quite a bit since I was last down there, but the only folks I know that want to go to Polk are from that area or have some other specific reason to want to be there. 

My husband is from Leesville ( the town outside of Fort Polk ). We are visiting there in April to see his Mom...lol

A lot of people don't like it there, but it is not that bad. I would assume you would have a good chance to go there, but it is the Army :) 

I am from lake charles and my husband wants to retire there so it only makes sense to make polk our last duty station. We could actually buy a house lol. I pray everyday that he comes home with orders to polk
