Anyone live on the off streets of Rifle Range Road? Is it nice? Quiet? Varies by street?

Pros and cons... c:

If you are moving out, are you sad to go?

Anyone have kiddos working for tips at the commisary? How old do they have to be to work there? Danke! :)

I live right off of Rifle Range road and Trooper. The noise of constant traffic starts before 5 am and goes until 9 am. Then there is the lunch noise, 11 am until 1:30pm, and shortly thereafter is the evening noise at 4pm until 6pm. Constant traffic during these hours, loud pipes and stereos, etc. The fire trucks next to me are always leaving every two hours with their sirens as well. I am use to it now, but it took awhile. I also had to get use to the constant glare of headlights in two of my bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. Blackout curtains do not work. But hey, I can always give a traffic report on the road....stop an go, slow and steady, or flowing. lol!

The neighborhood has a lot of school-age kids and teenagers, which makes it quiet during the daytime. The evening and weekends can get a bit loud, especially during the summer.

Overall I like it, I have just gotten use to the new norm. I like the floor plan and layout, it is nice to have my washer and dryer by my bedrooms where all of my laundry comes from! Picerne is quick to point things out here though, if you have a trailer in your driveway for a few hours they seem all up on you about it, but if you need something fixed they are on Picerne time. Our upstairs laundry room flooded because they did not install the drain right and we had water go in the floor vent in there and come out several of our ceiling vents downstairs. Also the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink is not elevated, the pipe is flat, so if you dump anything in it and try to flush it out it will just back up. This has been because of the construction and it has not been fixed yet.

Thanks, Brianna! :)

What street do you live on that you have headlight glares in your home? Is rank all scrambled together on your street?

Thanks, again! :)

Our street, Highfly Circle, is all senior enlisted, E6 and above. I am at the end of the street, so I get all of the vehicles going up and down the hill in my windows. I do like the separation of rank, because my last neighborhood Ellis Heights was all mixed in. It bothered me that there was nobody in our rank catergory where we lived and it was hard to relate to anybody because the women were all a lot younger than me. My only issue I have now is that I have really young kids still in diapers and everybody else on out street has school aged kids, but at least the women are all in my age range and easier to relate to.

If I had a choice I would move into my house again! I love it here, I like the neighborhood, and the neighborhood center has been as asset. It is nice that the PX, Commissary, and Shopette are all within walking distance. My only regret is just the noise level and headlights, but for us it was a better decision than our previous dwelling in Ellis Heights. A covered back patio would be nice, but I can only wish!

I'm over by Lookout and Rifle Range and yes, its quiet and my backyard faces Rifle Range and traffic noise isnt really an issue unless you are someone who requires dead silence... but good luck with that. :)

LOL. Thanks :)

What about bus pick-up?

We use to live in Forsythe before we PCSed. I loved it! It did suck to be so close to your neighbors though. The rooms were big and spacious. Where we are now we pay almost $2000 a month for a house half that size and includes fire safety hazards ( like outlets that are hot to the touch, flammable material holding in our heaters etc...) along with the mold.I hated Riley but Id kill to have my house there back!
