to the psycho that thinks it's okay to steal all the coupons out of sunday papers and let other people BUY the paper with no coupons in it, You have been turned into the manhattan mercury carriers and the daily union. and you will be prosecuted because, you may not think it, but IT IS thievery!!! you're stealing from honest people!! That is really low and psychotic of you to do it every sunday. especially when honest people go to buy the paper and don't get any coupons at all! what do you expect that you're going to be put on the extreme couponing show? UGH!! FREAK!

I have a subscription to the Daily Union and there were no coupons in yesterdays paper. I was majorly disappointed. I would like to know if others who get it delivered had coupons

HisWifEY --- 13 years ago -

our neighbor has a subscription, she gave me hers from today. i was wanting them for the laundry soap.

only one insert in the manhattan mercury ... good thing i checked before i bought it. there were no coupons in any of the other papers i checked. its crap! I'm just going to order them online. i used 18miles in gas looking for stupid coupons that aren't even there. oh an JC walmart doesnt carry the sunday paper. you have to go to a gas station. i went to 4 gas stations and they all only had one insert in the $2.50 paper and like 4 target and walmart ads

I had this happen to me one time....now I check them before I buy them!
I buy the KC star on Sunday usually has 2-3 inserts.

I'm just going to order them online.

This is what I do, so that I get what I want and not waste time with the hassle of the newspapers. I've even found a site that will sell you whole inserts if that is really what you want. I love the clipping services. I don't have to cut them out myself and I don't have to drive to get the papers ;)

where do you buy coupons from? and to sound mean or anything but if you pay for them how are you saving money?

LuvMySoldier- yup I save money..I end up buying the coupons I want for 8 cents to 12 cents depending on value/popularity etc. I pay postage, and in the end it all rounds out to what I would pay to go to the store to actually pick up newspapers--meaning gas/time/cost. I also chose what I want in multiples so that I'm able to get plenty of what I want. For example, I found a $3 off coupon for razors, I paid 8 cents per coupon, bought 10--80 cents plus approx $2 shipping (I bought other coupons too, so I can't itemize the shipping) and I picked up all the razors at 13 cents a piece with the coupon. So for $4.10 I got 10 razor multi packs valued at $31.30 not counting the commissary surcharge. Sometimes it really works it's self out, and I really only buy what I use. Sometimes I will buy other/extra coupons for friends that I know they will use too. I'm so busy most days that I don't have time to clip the coupons so this helps lots. Paying for them via clipping service is just as if you bought them while getting a newspaper. Taking into account all you spend to get them--gas/newspaper, it rounds its self out. Plus side, I get what I want too, in bulk, and don't have to worry if someone is stealing the inserts.

Btw, I also do trips the commissary/Walmart etc to get a idea of their sales and prices. I can even tell you where to find items in both stores because I have a great memory for that too. It helps me with picking out what I want from the clipping services. I've got a great memory for numbers and prices which also helps, so I make the best effort to save where I can. I'm not an extreme couponer, but I do well. I also don't buy everything in bulk outright at once. Those razors were bought in a couple trips, because I don't like emptying a full shelf just to use a coupon.

Oh thats awesome, thanks for the info. I was just wondering because I once was looking at coupons on ebay and by the time i paid for the coupons shipping and handling, I wasnt saving any thing. Im going to check out the 2 sites you posted. Thanks!

also my previous statement was meant to say not to sound mean or anything lol

lol, I didn't take it as mean or anything :)

Plus I was the same way with ebay, but found the other sites better for me. There are more sites I use, but those are my favs. The dede one even gives you points for each one you buy that leads to savings on further purchases of coupons. Plus with the sites I know I'm getting what I paid for. Only issue is the getting them sooner, because I don't like waiting or paying big bucks in shipping. I just watch the expiration dates on the ones I buy too, so I can get them before they get to close to expiring.
