With my other 2 I was given a day and time to do it and this one she just said go to the lab sometime before my next appointment.

On post...do you just go to the lab early one morning and do it?? 

I know hospitals are different but I've been to a few hospitals that I was told in the next few days whenever you have time go to the lab and tell them what you need done. There was one time that it wasn't in their system and I told them well then please call this doctor and get the order because I haven't ate or drank anything for 8 hours and if I have to do this again I might scream haha. 

Go when ever you want to the lab, I just did mine last week. She told me if I was afraid not eating would make me sick to eat/drink something up to 2 hours before as long as there wasn't a lot of sugar in it. Good luck! :) 

Thanks! I just didnt want to get up there too early or too late to do it haha. Oh was the drink cold?? The last time I did it at an army hospital it wasnt cold and tasted so yucky. It taste so much better cold! 

Nope not cold. I got the choice between orange and fruit punch though. Fruit Punch didn't taste as bad as the orange did, at least me. 

Gah, what is it with them not chilling them first. The orange one when its cold taste like sunkist. Its yum when its cold. 

I hated this test both times i have had it done i had the orange and its so nasty. I use to be able to drink sunkist all the time and i can not drink the orange sunkist anymore becuase of the glucose test. But they are right the dr should have entered it in the computer and all you do is go into the lab show your id and tell them why you are there no appointment is ever nessissary to go to the lab as long as the order has been submitted into the computer by the dr. 

Take a cup with ice in it... Do it yourself! lol I can't see why they would have a problem with it as long as you drink it in the 5 minutes :)

They wont let you, I did both the 1 hour and 3 hour with each of my pregnancies and my husband brought me a cup of ice the 2nd time around and they said I wasn't allowed to "alter" they glucose drink.

I find the morning was better, but it's really just when your stomach is empty and you have time to sit and wait. 

How early can you go up there? I want to do it in the morning time. 

I believe they open at 8am. It may be 7am. 

I wish they had the fruit punch option here when I was pregnant with my son last year... with my daughter, my doctor in florida had a cola flavored one so it was just like drinking a coke...
