Anyone been? Where? Or a good produce stand? Love fresh fruit and veggies. Sometimes the stuff in store is just not worth buying.

Haven't been yet but plan on going to the one in jc and manhattan in the next few weeks. We took a trip back home a few weeks ago and brought back some fresh peaches and I made my first peach cobbler and it was gone that night....so I'm hoping to find more peaches!

make sure you go early to get the best offered

I want some real peaches. The big kind...the "southern" peaches they had at the commy were a joke...they looked like peach babies haha. Hoping the farmers market will have nicer ones.

Been to both and both are pretty great. Manhattan is bigger and better (i've only been on saturdays) and the JC one is very small but they had lots of things. I bought lettuce, spinach, aloe plant, eggs, honey, onions, aparagus. I didn't go this last week but I recommend both.

Where are they?

I usually go on Wednesday nights in Manhattan. The Farmer's Market is on Kimball right behind the ball fields. I have note seen fruit their but they have a lot of veggies, plants, raw honey, homemade jams, and fresh baked goods! My friend runs Ma's Kitchen and she makes tons of fresh breads! I also love the cookie lady! If you like coconut you have to try her Harvey cookies!

Misty- where is that at. I live on post.

the one in JC is on Sat mornings in the parking lot across from the municipal bldg/firedept and as the vendors sell out they leave it gets smaller as the morning goes on, the eastside/westside markets are in manhattan and they are open thru the week too. they used to do a set up on wed mornings by the museum in JC if i remember correctly. those are the ones i know of

The easiest way to get their is to head off post like you are going to Target. Go past Target and take the Kimball Exit, it is a couple down from Anderson, once you get to the end of the off ramp take a left. You will see some construction and the sign on your left. You will need to go down to the next street (I think it is Avery) and take a left then take another left onto a little dirt road that leads to the parking lot where they have the Farmer's Market! They are open from 4-7.

Misty, do you know Paul? His ex wife is a wonderful friend of mine.

Misty --- 14 years ago -

@Susanp68 I know him through his mother and from talking with him a bit at the Farmer's Market. I used to work with his mom and met his Ex-Wife once after they came back from Japan! They all are wonderful people if you ask me!
