I live in Forsyth,what is with the red porch lights? is it true that they are advertising that they are available and there spouses are gone? or is that just folk lore?i dont want to live in a "red light district".am I off base?did they just leave them up from christmas?just wondering... 

I know what you are talking about I have seen the same house. but I don't think it saying that they are available because they had that up for more than a year even. 

maybe just a way to light their doorway without having bright light? I know I'm horribly nightblind and it takes my eyes forever to readjust to the dark. 

red lights also dont attract as many bugs. Might be another reason. 

lol, im surprised housing allows a red light. Ive read that they want all the houses over there to look the same, and a red light would stand out like a sore thumb. 

they make bug lights for that 

i was out looking for boxes last night & my son pointed out the colored lights. i 3 or 4 actually with red ones & then there was a Blue one also. i was wondering what was up with that also. 

I saw a couple green ones driving through there. Weird. It was around Christmas time so I assumed it was a holiday thing lol 

That my neighbor they change them for the holiday. Orange at halloween, green at xmas, rrd for v-day. Just the one girl has been slow at changing hers lol
