We are new to satellite and I was wondering if our satellite is going to be out all freaking winter from the snow?? Just from the little snow we are getting tonight our satellite has been out for about 45 minutes now! 

Our satellite is working fine. No problems at all. Not even fuzzies. Who do you have Dish or Direct TV? We have Dish and unless God opens of the flood gates ours stays good. 

Wow... we've had direct TV for over 2 years here and 5 years back home in ND. The snow capital I swear at times. We hardly EVER have problems with ours. 

OPPS!!! I was mistaken. Hubby informed me it was DISH. GULP, he proved me wrong and him right. AGAIN!!!!(Dang it) he will rub this one in for awhile now...LOL 

weve had dish here for 6 years i can count on one hand how many time its gone out.we had signal when the tornados came through one year. It only seems to have issues with hail or realy realy hard rains, but never an issue with snow. 

Hmm.. I have DirectTV.. so obviously this isnt the normal for snowy weather. Might need to give them a call because I cant deal with this all winter! 

Yeah, we've got directv, on a pole where anyone can bump into it, and we didnt lose signal last night. 

We also have Direct TV and was up and running all night! 

I have Dish and we didnt lose it at all. But sometimes when it rains we lose it. When I had Directv in NY for 9 years we lost signal 2 times from freezing rain. But I went out with the broom and cracked the ice and Viola...Signal again! 

does the wind on post kill signal at all? 

Hasnt for me and I'm on the hill and our dish is on a pole in the yard.
