I dont really know what I expect picerne to do..change the rules in Forsyth maybe..I moved into the brand new housing in forsyth due to a medical issue I am in a 1 story house, i put my fence up 1 week later, I have 2 fur babies a 7 year old 3 pound yorkie and a 5 month old old english bull dogge..
So i put them outside 2 weeks ago tp enjoy the weather for a half hour and my neighbor calls picerne on me and tells them that not only is my dogs vicious, but they BARK..my neighbor has 2 or 3 BIG dogs, boxer and another big dog... anyway her dogs jump at the fence and my dogs jumped back barking and she said I wasnt watching them..first of all who's idea was it to make all the fences in forsyth be attached..DUMB idea, dogs are territorial, yes mine jumped back and now I stand out there with them to watch them, but other neighbors have told me they watch her dogs trying to go through the screen door to get out to the fence to get at my dogs. my fence was up first so what can we do to remedy this..is there something we can put in the fence so the dogs cant see eachother?
I dont know, its not fair.she is putting all the blame on my dogs but my dogs dont do it with any other dogs in the back (and there is about 25)i just want to live in peace and allow my dogs to play outside once in awhile, they are inside dogs by the way maximum time out at a time is 20 minutes..
please dont bash me, i just want positive ideas to fix this...
thanxs

Why do the fences have to be attached there? We don't live in Forsyth but we refused to allow our fence to be attached to our neighbors - not that our neighbors would have allowed it either. I'm sure with Picerne that the rules are different with each neighborhood though. I wonder if a piece of that white plastic sheeting (like plywood but neater to look at) would help? Just a thought.

Picerne wants everything "uniform" in our neighborhood. That is why even though my house backs up to a street with plenty of room we still have to have a TINY yard. some great idea someone had...

I have never seen it on post but I have scene strips of plastic weaved in fences before, I would imagine that they would sell it at home depot or somewhere like that, that would be my only thoughts but I am sure there are other options.

Home owners association - via rental property:) Same ole rules just different management! Gotta love the Army life!

I think maybe you can put up a black out panel that wont be ugly but nice looking so the dogs wont see each other. But I will suggest that you get this approved by housing just in case she tries anything you can let her know and housing will have it on file so you can just tell her to kiss.

We wanted to put strips in our fence when we lived in forsyth and they told us we couldn't because they wanted it to look the same.

You can actually have them. I just checked last week BUT the issue is the ones with the weave have to have concrete foundations because when the wind kicks up it will act as a kite and take off! Atleast that is what Tri-City fence told me the reason I couldn't have 1 here in Forsyth.

We are being moved into Forsyth and I remembered this post, so apparantly I have to have my fence attached to the neighbors. My question is, who pays for the third side of the fence? If I have it installed using one company, how can another company tie onto our leased property?

When we moved in we shared a fence and my neighbor and I split the middle fee as we shared the same company.

They moved out and we got new neighbors and they chose a different fence company-- I pay the entire bill—as I had to when the old neighbors moved. The fencing company suggests that we ask the new neighbors for half the fee for the middle-- but I don't care, I pay the entire thing to avoid issues of having to ask each billing cycle.

However it is my understanding through some in the neighborhood pay the entire fence bill and then their neighbor gives them $4 $6 or $9 ( depending on which company is used) in cash each month or a Starbucks coffee or something that is the same amount.

I live in McClellan and the fencing on our back patios have metals strips weaved through them for privacy, they are not cemented in. I know its not a full yard fence but still they dont blow away lol. Another reason why I will never move to Forsyth...If something ever happens that I need to move out of Mclellan then Im moving off post lol

Tri-city told me that the poles are cemented in the bottom. But Im not too sure. What I am sure about is that Tri-city has to come fix my fence. Glad this post was up so it reminded me to call them!

As far as I can tell our poles arent cemented in unless the cement is underground, usually when i see poles cemented in you can see the cement on the top of the ground...however these may very well be cemented in since they are perm and not temp like a rented fence

Good Luck! I had issues with the lady behind me. She picked on the ppl next to me until they were removed from housing bc of their dongs. Once they were gone she started on me! Her kid would run along my fence banging on it getting my boxer puppy barking like crazy and jumping. Once he realized he could jump the fence he would and she would non stop call the cops saying I had a vicous pitbull! I started calling housing before she could and finally one night called the mp's and filed harassment charges (this is what the other neighbors had to do to her finally)

Luckily it was an MP that was tired of BS and went and told her to leave us alone and we haven't heard anything since. I would say document it. Your yard is your yard so its going to come down to who does something first. I'm sure you just want to be left alone and your dogs to but obviously your neighbor isn't going to do that so take the first step and stop them before they continue to harass you and your animals.
