ok so i threw a stroller away that was ripped and the straps were cut off and some stupid idiot just picked it up....wow some people are stupid.

Kristen --- 15 years ago -

yeah sometimes they sale the stuff on RYS so beware it happened to me on something that was recalled and broken all so someone could earn a few bucks!

Amy --- 15 years ago -

LOL was it visable or maybe they didn't see it? Some people are just retarded lol...now I can say that I have taken stuff people have "thrown away" before but its also nice stuff they you could tell they just didn't want & wanted someone to grab it was just sitting there lol I never took anything broken or whatever...weirdos haha

Liss51 --- 15 years ago -

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

well they just came got it like 5 mins ago. i swear people are so stupid, sorry but it just irriatates me that people are so freking desperate.

Liss51 --- 15 years ago -

I've gotten stuff people have thrown out but only stuff that was in good condition not broke lol people can be weridos thats for sure

Southern_Belle --- 15 years ago -

I bet it was my neighbors LOL they are major hoarders...

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

well when they get home they will be in for a big surprise when they see the stroller. oh well all they will do is prolly try to sale it on RYS.

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

and another thing when they dig in trash they get trash everywhere and dont pick it up, that really pi$$es me off.

Southern_Belle --- 15 years ago -

they drug our broke vacuum to their house and then it was back on the curb. Not sure if they sell it or just throw it in the garage and the rest of the house. there is not a lot of traffic at the house, which to me suggests they dont sell they just hoard!

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

they drug our broke vacuum to their house and then it was back on the curb LOL, OMG are you serious?

Tiffany --- 15 years ago -

I don't dig through trash cans or bags or anything, but I've picked things up that were on the curb plenty of times, and I'm not a hoarder or a weirdo. They probably didn't look at it too closely, I don't like standing at the curb "inspecting" things. If I pick something up and later realize it isn't usable I simply throw it away, but more often then not I can clean it up or refinish it as a project. There are a lot of reasons they could have picked it up and calling them stupid and desperate is a little premature and judgmental.

Tiffany --- 15 years ago -

they drug our broke vacuum to their house and then it was back on the curb LOL, OMG are you serious? Why is this so hard to believe? People throw things away that work perfectly all the time. They took it home, it didn't work so they put it back out......I don't get the big shock??

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

i am not judging, im just saying that some people should look at things before picking them up. thats pretty much why im calling them stupid. JMO though.

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

if im gonna dig through the trash im gonna make sure its something thats in good condition, im not gonna just stop and throw it in the back of my car in then get home, then find out that it was just a waste of time picking up;)

??? --- 15 years ago -

I agree with Tiffany. I often pick stuff up off the curb. I'm usually not out specifically "trash digging," so when I pick something up, it's in passing by, and I'm in a hurry. A lot of times they're things in perfectly good condition that I end up using, or giving to a friend that I know was looking for that. A lot of times I also say "oohhhh, so that's why they threw it away...." But no reason to assume they're stupid....maybe just in a rush...

lilmama4 --- 15 years ago -

My old neighbor used to be like that. She would just pick up whatever. Crap or not! It was crazy! You couldn't even walk in her house. Gross!

Blondie --- 15 years ago -

When we throw away broken, recalled items, I think it's our responsibility to place a sign on these items stating they are either broken or recalled so that people know. There is always going to be someone needing money or even someone who needs these items for their own personal use. I was going to throw my daughter's high chair away because it was recalled, I didn't think it would be fixable, so I planned on placing it on the curb with a sign stating it was recalled and was unsafe. But then I went to the website and found that I could order free brackets so I did that :) That person may have not even taken the time to look at the item so whose to say that it will even be used?

military peeps are really bad about throwing perfectly good stuff away...my neighbor got a brand new gas grill from a guy that was pcsing and didnt want to bring it...the only thing it needed was a propane tank..worked fine haha. I wouldnt get a stroller if it was in the garbage...i know by the time we throw our strollers away they are DONE haha.

Southern_Belle --- 15 years ago -

--lilmama that is exactly how the neighbors I was speaking of are. They have had picerne threaten to throw them out on more than one occasion. I am not saying that picking up good things off the side of the road is bad.......but these ppl dont do that......it is a little piece of this and a little piece of that and then they just throw it in the garage or living room. They have a problem....seriously.

fairydreams0409 --- 15 years ago -

yah once again im not saying its bad to pick good things up off the road but at least look at it before grabbing it cuz this stroller has no straps and was pretty ripped up, cuz im not gonna lie thats how i got my brand new baby walker, (pooh bear at that) i got it from the neighbors that were moving and i bleached the whole thing and my daughter still uses it.

Candace --- 15 years ago -

Oh gosh dont you hate this? We threw out our old furniture when we got our new set, and it was in TERRIBLE shape from kids and pets over the last 6 years that we had it. Couple weeks later I see it for sale on here for $100. I wouldn't even pay $5 for it. They flipped the cushions and didn't bother to warn anyone about the stains or rips, or the broken legs at the bottom. Whoever bought that is probably pissed off right about now

donna --- 15 years ago -

This is off the track but similiar. I swear that a person on Free Cycle that is always asking for everything under the sun is now advertising items for sale. I can't be sure but I swear it is some of the items that they asked for on free cycle. Also as much as they ask for and receive, I would think they would want to give back and put their items on free cycle. Some of their items are broke as well.
