We're trying to decided whether to get a truck or suv. We love the truck bed to hall stuff but love the room inside the suv. so it's going to a vote lol 

I guess I would pick SUV because you can always get a trailer later. Im certain my husband would say truck. 

I have a Ford Expedition and I absolutely love it. I always have the room I need and if we have to haul something we just lay the seats down. If the item is bigger than that or something dirty we just rent a little trailer that we can pull behind for a couple bucks and problem solved. We also had a truck but you are very limited on your space so I geuss you just have to think about which you need most the space more or the hauling capabilities. Hope this helps. 

My husband had a Durango and then bought a trailer to haul things if we needed to. He sold it and bought another car before we left Kansas because it slurped gas.

I kind of miss the room in the SUV, so I am thinking of getting rid of my current car and buying a truck. For me, I think a truck would be better for the immediate hauling ability without having to hitch up a trailer. Whenever I need to go to Home Depot and pick up plywood or sheetrock, it's a real pain to have to rent a truck or borrow one from a bud just to get it home. 

I agree with Tee C.. We have a chevy crew cab 2500 and love it... it has lots of room and of course the bed.. its nice not to have to hook up our trailer everytime we go somewhere just in case we find something... easier to throw it in the bed and be done with it... 

We have an extended cab Silverado... with a bed cover, and I think thats key. Without a cover the truck would be useless to me. I love being able to go to a store and not have to question how I will get something home... I have a habit of running out and buying stuff I didnt plan on getting. An SUV would be nicer for family trips, but I think we've used the truck more for truck things more often than we would have used an SUV for trips. You just have to figure out what you do more often, and if you find yourself more often just moving people around, then get an SUV. 

Notsue good advice! Exactly, when we have needed a truck we have definitely wanted one but it depends where you are in life we are always throwing another carseat in. Hahahahah and what do I know .. I drive a Honda Odysee hahahahah *for the record I love her. I drove an suv before and had a hard time getting people buckled in easily. 

I have had both....I would go with SUV...most SUVs you can take all the back seats out or at least the back seat and fold down the others. We had a durango and chevy silverado. I enjoyed both...but there wasnt a lot that my durango couldnt do!
Now we have a mustang and accord....I sure miss having a vehicle that hauls stuff...but wouldnt trade my accord for anything! Good luck!
