Does walmart in JC have christmas trees yet?

Gemini09 --- 13 years ago -

No, no Wal-Marts will be selling Christmas trees anymore. They are saying something about saving forests for their reason not to. I mean live ones, but I believe they have fake ones.

:( oh no!

What?! Really? Wow, that's something. Well, we bought a nice little Frasier Fir yesterday at Home Depot. We were pleasantly surprised, they have a military discount! c: I also saw the Optimist Club is selling trees by Little Apple Toyota dealership. If we find the Boy Scouts selling them, we'll buy another one for my kids to decorate with their cousin and auntie when they come up for the holidays in two weeks.

I just called home depot and we are headed there now :)

Trees for troops

there is a christmas tree farm right outside of Jc, literally 2-3 minutes. you can walk around and pick out your tree and they will cut it for you or you can cut it yourself. They're very reasonable and we've gotten our tree there the last 5 years.

We had that here in West Side Manhattan, Gallaher's Tree Farm, a few years back. The farm doesn't look active this season, though. What is the name of the one outside JC? That'd be a nice thing to do with family visiting. Do they do sleigh rides and hot cocoa? Thanks!

Mandi --- 13 years ago -

it's the exit for council grove on I70 the exit before the one to go onto post near the airfiled. you turn at that exit, then make a right then turn left onto a gravel road, it's down a few houses. they have a ton of trees to choose from, they don't do sleigh rides and unsure about cocoa. i don't ever remember them having cocoa or anything but the kids love running up and down the field looking for our "perfect" tree for the year. they're decent priced as well, we usually end up spending anywhere from 40-60 but our tree has always been at least 6ft tall or bigger.

I went to Home Depot last year and will go again this year because they have a nice selection and reasonable prices.

Kayce --- 13 years ago -

We went to the tree farm in JC and they were higher priced that when we went the year before.

Misanthropist --- 13 years ago -

The prices are higher all around due to wild fires, drought, and floods wreaking havoc on farm land across the globe.

notsue --- 13 years ago -

I dunno, what do you consider high prices? I remember 10-15 years ago paying 45-55$ for a tree. Last year I paid 35$

Misanthropist --- 13 years ago -

Depends on the size and tree type; even some farmers will eat the cost to keep prices down during economic low times. Depends if they are local, too.

well since most christmas trees are not from forests thats kinda silly ...christmas trees are just like any other thing thats grown on farms for one reason and thats to be cut down to be someones tree ...if thats walmarts reason then thats just stupid..
