Thats crazy. Your hubsand is obviously not deployed if you dont have the car this morning to take your child to school so call your husband they will let him out of work to come pick her up to take her. No way in H*ll would i let some random person take my child to school. I disliker her ridding the but more less with some stranger.

Wow. It's horrible to say, BUT If anything was to happen to that poor child that makes it very clear that she'd be the one RESPONSIBLE!! Then she'd be on the news crying for her child back! It's called being a parent and obviously she doesn't know how to be one! UGH...People these days!

Wow, that is horrible!!! How could anyone trust their child to a stranger?!?!? I freak out when people I don't know say hello to my daughter! (Yeah, pretty overprotective) Sounds like someone needs a parenting class!! Or a good smack on the back of the head!!

Some people are just bad parents, and some people are good parents who make bad decisions concerning their children because they just don't think things through. I have made some great decisions as a parent and some awful ones, and I would still consider myself a darned good mother.

It could be that the family has one vehicle and the soldier in the family took the vehicle to work, and then couldn't get away. It could be that the child has missed a lot of school days (for whatever reason), and the mother couldn't take her and panicked.

Either way, what she did is a bad idea but I wouldn't automatically assume that this mother is completely irresponsible as a parent. She probably needs some parenting classes (and a healthy dose of common sense), but I'm sure she doesn't intentionally want her child harmed.
