I have been following this story for a long time; I even had to do a research paper for it. I honestly never thought they'd get out...

I know! I saw a special on them on Dateline a while back and according to DNA evidence, they had nothing to do with it. I'm happy to see them set free, unfortunately, they will never get back that part of their lives that they lost while being imprisoned.

I was wondering if they were going to get set free. Its funny, they had such little evidence for this case and they were all convicted yet you have the Casey Anthony trial and it screams she did it and she walked free. I hope they can go back and live somewhat normal lives. I mean they were just kids when they went in and now they are grown men. Hope they adjust.

I'm happy to see them set free. I seen the Dateline about them as well, and to me, it was a huge case of profiling.

Im glad they are free.....Im from Arkansas and remember when this happened. They demonized the boys especially Damien because he dressed in black. I hate that they had to plead guilty in order to be set free. But at least with the Alford plea they can mantain their innonence.
I hope that they find the monster who really did this so all parties involved can have some sort of peace.
It has long been rumored that one of the 8 year olds step father committed the crime. Now with new DNA evidence maybe we will know once and for all who really did it. Although after watching the news conference the prosecutor doesnt seem eager at all to look into the matter further.

SO HAPPY!

Not happy that "real justice" wasn't served but I've followed this since I was old enough to understand! I've actually done multiple papers, read all the books and used to have copies of all the documentaries (lost moving) but these 3 waited too Long for this day.

I'm proud of them, and while others are upset and don't understand I believe they made the best decision taking the plea. Everyone was confused and upset and angry that they'd rcv no restitution nor be able to sue. But when Jason began to speak it literally brought tears to my eyes.

So glad they will be with friends and family, and that Damians life has been spared. Like Jason said had they risked a new trial, being done by the same state that wrongfully imprisoned them... they couldn't trust a second trial to be any more fair then the first.. His best friend could have been excited for crimes they didn't commit and he said he couldn't allow Damian to risk that.

I was so moved by their words! Sorry I'm a HUGE supporter! :)

The DNA found matched Terry Wayne Hobbs. Who was step father to victim Stevie Branch.

Terry Hobbs stated he hadn't seen Stevie or the other 2 boys in hours before there disappearance. Wittness stated They last seen the 3 boys walking with Terry & Terrys adult male friend. When the boys were reported missing, Terry and his friend (last seen with them) were the ones who found the boys bodies in the woods.

He lied about the last time he seen Stevie as well as found the bodies. AND it was his DNA found at the crime scene. I know for sure one of them was Terrys hair tangled into the rope used to tie up one of the boys.

So so sad. I truly hope Damian and his wife are able to continue the investigation (as it was defense funds that was used to test DNA- bc Arkansas had refused to conintue investigation) and find more evidence to put the true criminal(s) behind bars and have this nonsense completely over turned!!
