Question for all the ladies with little girls. I want to start making tutus for little girls, I make them all the time for my daughter and I love making them! They are the cutest thing, especially for pictures. So my question is, would anyone buy them? I don't want to waste a bunch of money to buy the stuff if no one would be interested. Thanks so much!=]

I personally wouldnt buy them but thats because I like to make my daughters haha. Also I see so many people making and selling the tutu's around here that the competition might not be worth it.

I would just start small incase it didnt work out you wouldnt be out too much money. Good Luck!

My daughters are 12 & 6 lol so they are too old :( I wish people were doing cute stuff like this when they were little, I just got a great deal at a yard sale for my grandbaby though got a KSU colored one for $7 instead of $25 lol...I do agree though alot of people are selling them, though when I was looking there weren't as many posts, so I'd start small maybe with bday ones or something like that & go from there...good luck to you :)

I think tutu's will be profitable if you have a small shop, or if you want to run around and do festivals and what not... those along with a few other handmade items and you'd be good to go. But if you want to make decent money from selling htem on rys, or craigslist, or fb, or even etsy, it's prolly gonna be a slower more disappointing process.

I think the problem you will run into is that they are easy to make so most moms will do it themselves. I get alot of joy out of making my daughters.. makes it more special. But, i'm sure there are plenty of people who would buy them. But I wouldn't buy the supplies until you have an order for it. Good luck to you!

I would buy them , if I had a little girl that is (I am currently pregnant and looking at all the cute baby clothing lol) I do not have enough patience to make my own so if they were cute and a good price I would buy them .

crystle- I sent you a message on here.

I agree with everyone...their are so many people around here who make them. Also once you spend $25 on one and get it home and realize you can make it for $5 most people start making their own! I made my nieces for her halloween costume last year and it was WAAAAAAYYYYYYY better than the ones I saw people selling for 6 times the cost of my materials!

Misty that's what I'm screaming. If they were an ACTUAL decent price I'd pay for them.
And yes I understand a small profit bc the person did take the time and do the labor. But most ppl are jacking the prices way too high.

I know at one time there were so many people selling them that some of them stopped selling them. Idk how many their are now. My freind made my daughters last year which ended up being her halloween costume. It wasnt ment to be her halloween costume at the time but it was close enough to halloween i just put a black outfit with her pink and blue tutu. It was the colors of cotton candy so my friend called it the cotton candy tutu. My daughter picked the colors lol

Agreed! The only reason I got the one I did is cuz she sold it to me for $7.00 which I thought was fair lol, she said she normally sold them for $25!!

$25 is outrageous I'd never pay more then $10 for one. $7 is awesome though!!
