Does anyone know where I can get it appraised and how much it will cost? I am going to sell it:( and I think I need to get it appraised first???? I still have the thing from kays, will that work? 

yea they will do it and i could be wrong but I think they have a buy back program too

it is for upgrading, say your ring is 1,000 then you have to buy something for 2,000. What kind of ring are you selling and how much? 

Vernon Jewelers in downtown JC does it for $75 I think. Kay's does not do appraisals, I checked a while back for mine since I got it there.
