Ok first off I want to say how MAD I am. I posted tons of great items on RYS this evening since I am moving. Including something I didnt want to part with my daughters baby crib. It held a lot of sentimental value but I figured that someone less fortunate was needing it. I didnt want to have a yard sale because like I said I wanted to give to the less fortunate anyhow I gave away appliances, shoes, boots, electronics, furniture, baby crib, mattress, vacuum and more household items. This lady "so called needed them" so I gave them to the first person to come by which so happened to be her. Well now ten minutes later she post majority of the items up for sale. I feel so stupid because I had so many single moms and less fortunate people needing the crib and furniture and stuff well she is on there selling the items now. I am in shock because I could have made atleast 2-300 dollars if I was trying to sell the items but I wasnt I wanted it to go to someone in need. Ughh this stupid lady was in no need! She drives a black new avalanche I should have known then!!! Please flag her! Ummm if you fake being poor on there and you get people to give you stuff.. ITS WRONG! Just like the lady on here earlier asking for jello and soft foods and ibuprofen for her friends child.. Could be completely legit, but because of scam artists its hard to believe anything..

I have the messages of your so called friend and tons of other people that wanted it because they needed it. Like who does that really? No one yelled at her please get your story straight. Seriously why would I give a crib with lots of memories away when there are new soldiers and their families that come to Riley all the time and need stuff but cant afford it. I was giving it to someone in need. Like the junky stuff like toys ok I get that sell that if you have no use for it but really items that people need common why be selffish when there are so many people in this world that need stuff! 

Why would "lots of people do it" be a legitimate excuse for any behavior? 

My point is simply if you have no use for it you are not in need of it and plenty of families are why be selffish. Seriously Life is too short to be all about ourselves! That is exactly why I had decided to give it away and not sell it. If that was the case I would have just sold it myself! I didnt care for the money just wanted to help a person in need out. Key point as to why I didnt go to goodwill because they were going to sell it to someone that needed it!

Oh and Kansas26, obviously you don't spend much time on RUG because there have been multiple posts for the same thing. People get peeved when they give something away out of the kindness of their hearts and a greedy opportunist takes advanatage of their kindness and generosity to make a buck! 

This is why I am so adamant about donating to an organization. If you want to help people in need you could give to tornado victims through the Red Cross or to a women's shelter. It usually is a little more work but you avoid situations like these. I'm sorry this happened to you :/ I know how it feels.
