Okay does no one know that a blinking RED light means a 4 way stop? I'm going to get out of my car the next time someon almost plows into me!!!!!!! 

No, and people seem to think blinking yellow means come to a complete stop...this leads to major confusion and causes close calls too.

I have never lived in a place where the stoplights are frequently blinking red or yellow like here. I get that sometimes the goal is to help traffic move, or they put them to yellow late at night, but I personally think it confuses people more. Just leave them cycling out please.

On the subject of stoplights, does it drive anyone else as batty that Washington in JC is never synchronized?! I hate driving down that street so much that I will go over a few blocks to avoid it. 

I also go on one said or the other of washington i never drive down washington becuase you go one stop light and by the time you get to the next one its red. Back home down town all the stop lights are green one will turn a few seconds later the next all the way down so you can make it though downtown without having to stop. It drives me crazy that washington isnt like that and i dont drive down washington for that reason. 6ths street is just as bad. 

Not all blinking red lights mean a 4 way stop. Sometimes you have blinking red, and the people crossing you have blinking yellow. I hate it when it does that. The ones on post are usually always red though. I have almost been hit a few times by people going when they aren't supposed to. 

I agree with Janbruamaygust, people do not realize the lights by the Forsyth shopette are blinking red and yellow lights. They need to make all lights blink red so it is a 4 way stop. 

Why do they need to do that, because the general public doesnt know the rules of the road and therefore doesnt follow them? How about let them have their accidents and then take away their license. If you cant follow the rules off the road, get off of it, because when you hit me you'll be sorry. 

How about instead of wasting power dont put a freaking light there...if you want a 4 way stop then put stop signs there in the first place. I have never seen a post with so many blinking traffic lights. Either use the traffic lights like they are supposed to be used or put freaking stop signs up. 

It's annoying!

Omg I know! I thought it was just me going crazy the other day when I was on 12th (I believe) and I came to an intersection with no sign for either way!!!! Crazy!!!

I gave up on trying to understand the logic of the lights on Washington--and I kick myself every time I forgot not to take Washington and to go around. For a while at least 3 of those lights were permanently yellow flashers, but now there is only one, I believe. It sucks.

What also sucks is being tailgated constantly on Washington once I get past the car dealership next to the Latino church because people can't read and don't know the speed limit changes from 30 to 20. Dang it! 

OMG! yesterday I was driving me, my hubby & kids into JC. We were on Trooper of course going straight through the light. I slowed down just a little bc I don't trust ppl to understand that they have a RED blinking light.....

I am halfway through and this car, that WAS stopped just takes off. I of course, thank god for bein weary.... SLAMMED on my breaks. I'm dead serious when I say that i have never been that close to having a wreck in my life...

and get this, the dude in the passenger seat throws his hands up and me and heard him say "RED MEANS STOP" well news flash dummy... my light ISN'T RED!!

Ugh I was so freaking mad.

It drives me batty that coming out of trooper gate I have almost gotten hit 2 times turning right at the stop light (Sometimes I turn right on red, after stopping first, however lately I have been waiting until the light turns green.) But I have nearly gotten hit twice because the twits coming out of the burger king parking lot are too busy eating their whoppers to realize that a car is coming when they pull out of the parking lot onto 18th street. (I think it is 18th street) 

I never go down Washington cause it just drives me nuts!! I always take Jackson or Jefferson cause it is a straight thru shot.. no stopping from Ash to 6th St... the side streets have to stop... but beware, cause they dont always... I have been almost hit several times cause they dont realize I do not have a stop sign....
