My son is going into Kindergarten this fall and I'm exploring after-school care options. Planning to check out School Age Services building first - anything I should know about that? Waiting list, good/bad issues, whatever... Thanks! :)

Kindergarteners go to SAS. He is considered school-aged. The bus picks the kids up at the school and drops them off at SAS. I don't have a child at SAS, but I work at an elementary school on post so I can only tell you that much. Most of the kids seem to like it and I havent heard many parents complain about it. Sorry I cant be of more help.

19Dwifey is correct, Kindergarden goes to SAS. My child is currently in Kindergarden and goes to SAS and loves it. I love it as well. She has gone to the CDC since she was 6 wks old and although the CDC is fine. I did have a few complaints about it. However, I haven't had one complaint about SAS. I love it. There are all sorts of activities. When school lets out next week they have summer camp and the schedule is packed with all sorts of things. They are going to go on hikes around FT Riley, they are going to go rock springs, the aquiriam in Lawrence all kinds of things. during spring break they went to the movies and roller rink and all of this is included in the fee you pay. You never pay extra. They provide breakfast, bussing to school, and snack after school. When school is closed, they keep them all day and provide lunch as well. They do mini field trips about once a month where they go to arts and crafts center or the bowling alley. Really a great place. My child will not be going to school on post next year and I am really upset that she is going to not be able to go to SAS next year. She and I both just love it.

My son is in 2nd grade and he loves it... hes not in it full time tho, I just let him go on those rare occasions that I cant get him from school in time. Sounds like they are good at making the kids take turns and what not, so its not all chaotic.

Price is based on your income and it does change for the summer but not during spring break, winter break etc.
