Did you all see CNN - Bin Laden is dead and the US has the body! 

I just hope and Pray it is truly him!

I feel really reflective about the whole thing. I think about the number of soldiers who have died in the war on terror and don't know if I feel triumphant or just very, very sad. 

CNN is all over it and like Tee C stated, the pres will be out shortly to make announcements. 

I wanna watch but i cant hubby is on the computer which is hooked up to the tv so i guess i'll have to find it on the net.

I agree. His judgement is coming, but regardless someone died. lots of people did. 

Supposedly DNA confirmed its Bin Laden, but I thought the dude was already dead.... 

They said so far that DNA confirmed that he is dead. Us missle strike and was killed in a mansion outside of Islamabad the Pakastan capital

it actually scares me now that he is dead... 

Im worried about the retaliation that could happen. We just got note that the security on our base was raised. Im sure it will be on others too. But it is a very happy night

I'm very happy to hear that this ruthless man was finally found. But I too have mixed emotions. It brings back the anger and hurt I felt on that day and the many days that followed. And it makes me think about all of our brave brothers and sisters lost at war, and those that were suddenly taken on September 11, 2001 because of him and his followers actions.

Ick I just saw the picture on that link, why was'nt that proved on t.v? 

I am glad that he is dead... he was a ruthless man... what he did was just awful.... I honestly would have been happy if he had been captured also, but I am fine with this... it does bring back the memories of 9/11 and as I sit here I am tearful thinking of what all has happened since that awful day.. 

I thought he had been dead for a while...they just kept it on the DL....thats why he wasnt as much of a threat. Glad he's officially dead now yay!! 

if i see one more post on fb saying to bring the troops home or yay maybe they will come home. THE JOB ISNT DONE. Just cuz 1 guy is dead doesnt mean its over. There will be many more to follow him. The main concern needs to be prayers and thoughts with the troops and their families that there is no big retaliation.

An official has told CNN ... REAL photographs of Osama's body exist ... which show a gunshot wound to the side of his head. The official says due to the wounds, bin Laden's face is "unrecognizable."

i get it they are trying to be hopeful i read one status that said "osama is dead and now all soldiers will be home within 90 days" im not getting my hopes up like that!!! cnn is already talking about the next head leader of al quieda, im not going to try to spell his name though!!lol 

They killed the Mascot...there are people waiting inline to take the place as leader. Pakistan Taliban have already threatened us..Its not over...we are going to be there 90 days from now...120 days from now... 365 days from now. This is a war on terrorism...terrorism never ends...and neither will this war. 

Ditto with Kandice, this is only going to cause retaliation..giving them more of a reason to strike...hence the raised security. Also as she stated this war is long from over. Still lots of work to be done.

I wonder now if he would of been more an asset taken alive then killed. Justice served and I jump for joy that at least we have one less terrorist leader in the world but retaliation is a huge fear, then again, it may be one of those things with the fearless leader gone al Qaeda falls apart from the inside.

With that said of course my ID got lost at the concert Saturday so I had to go file a lost report this morning and waiting for DEERs to call back so I can get an appointment for a new one. I do have my DL but talk about bad timing. 

I heard Osama was buried at Sea, if this is true he did not deserve that kind of Honor.
