Okay mypay shows its depositing half our pay into our checking account. Now my husband left a week or so ago and we changed the direct deposit WHICH is suppose to take effect on May 1st am I right??? So for some ODD reason half our pay is going into our old checking out and the other half is showing pending in our Armed Forces Bank account which I haven't been added to yet! I thought when you change a direct deposit it's suppose to take affect the 1st of the month? I'm so confused and freaking out!!! He's hard to get a hold of as it is... 

I just checked USAA and we only got paid 1/2 of our normal amount and no explanation on the LES so I am at a loss! 

Nevermind, guess I was checking the bank at the same time they were updating - our whole amount was deposited in two payments so all is well....this time:) 

we got paid the full amount.. there suppose to pay half of it first then you should have another deposit for the other half they owe.. thats what ours is like..we have usaa 

Its showing pending on our joint account which should be the last deposit to that bank ever! We opened up a armed forces bank account last week Thursday and set up my pay deposit to go into there, we were under the impression the new direct deposit wouldn't take effect till may 1st les. Am I wrong? Its weird because on the current les its showing the 1st half of the deposit going into our old account, and then also for some reason another deposit for the exact amount of the rest of the pay that was owed is showing in the new account (armed forces bank) why would they deposit the other half of our pay into afb and not the full last deposit into our old account like we wanted? 

Ok this is the only thing i can come up with why they would do it this way IDK. You said you opened your armed forces account last week. Well they had the pay roll done from the 1-8th becuase of the whole govenment thing and never did the pay roll from the 9-15th till this week. So maybe becuase of all this mess and they did the pay rolll from the 9-15th they thought maybe they were suppose to deposit it into your new account. I hope that the other half will show up on your armed forces tomorrow. Thats the only thing i can come up with. Now if we would have gotten paid in full in 1 amount then it would have all went into your old account because pay roll would have already been done from the 1-15. instead of split 1-8 and 9-15 

Direct deposit changes usually take a week or two. Has nothing to do with the 1st.
