how do you get your little guy potty trained? Hes 2 yrs and 3 months. He knows when he has to g potty, he just WONT go in the potty anymore :(
do those pull ups that turn cold when they're peed in work? lol

I found that the only way my daughter would move forward was by getting rid of the pull ups all together. A few accidents and she was trained. I think they confuse the children too much. Boys are harder to train from what I understand. Good luck.

Ya i didnt use pull ups with either one of my kids. People are like oh the pull ups with the cool alert are so much better and potty trains them fast!!! WRONG my kids didnt care they thought they were sitll diapers. Best way i found to potty train my daughter was t-shirt nothing else (when im at home of course) she would use the potty every time. Now when i tried to put her in underware and pants didnt work!!! She would pee in them. So for a few months i did pants no underware and she would go becuase she wouldnt pee in just her pants but would if she had underware on because she felt like the underware was a diaper since they fit so snug. I had to do the same technique to get my son trained both were trianed in just a few days minus the not wearing undeware for awhile. both of mine never potty trianed till they were 3 1/2. I still have to use pull ups at night becuase im afraid if i dont i will have wet beds every night becuase they wake up every morning and their pull up is wet. and they are now almost 4 and 5

We also did no pull ups. We were potty training three at the same time. We bought potty watches. Used underwear. We also made up a treasure box. In it I put small treats like fruit snacks, granola bars, little 97 cent cars anything they liked. When they used the potty they got to pick out of the treasure box. It made it more fun for them to go.

I think it also has to do with when they are ready too. My daughter wore diapers until a little after her 3rd birthday. We never used pull ups. One day she just woke up, ripped off her diaper and went to the bathroom. We went out and bought her new panties, which she was excited to pick out and wear. She's almost 6 now and the only accidents she has had have been on long car trips and not speaking up about when she needs to go.

No pull ups. I just told him he was a big boy and needed to go in the potty. He got it pretty fast. I made sure we praised him when he went and that made him feel super good about going to the big boy potty. He usually got a surprise for going.

my little girl is 1 and will be 2 in may, so i started potty training her and im not having any success at all, i have tried letting her go with out a diaper and she pees on herself and then cry's about it, then i have tried putting lil panties on her, she wets them and just goes on like nothing has happened. but my mom says to keep working with her and she should learn, so i donno.

The most important thing is to make sure they are ready to change to potty training. my son is almost two and he is getting close but is not quite there yet. I do know a lot of people that have had to use the "naked" method and it has worked great. I think it just depends on the kid.

When i did finnally try panties with my daughter after doing no panties for awhile. I let her pick out her panties. She chose tinkerbell. i told her that if she peed on tinkerbell she was going to cry. So one day my son fell asleep on me and i could tell she had to go but there was no way i could move him and get her up to the bathroom fast enough. So i told her to go but she wouldnt. So she peed herself. She looks at me and says in a sad voice that tinekrbell was crying. she never peed on tinkerbell again!!

I got a potty Watch for the kids at my daycare. Works like a charm, they were really excited to try them out. Out of 3 kids today NOBODY had an accident!

my son was trained in 3 day...we used the cool alert pullups for 1 days then changed to underware. we went to walmart and he picked them out himself. then as soon as we got home i put it on him and let him run around with just a shirt and underware and every 30 mins i would take him to the bathroom.. id race him to the bathroom(of course let him win) then sat him on his potty and sat there maken up pee pee songs.. we used reward systems also..he peed in the potty we gave him a car or candy and praised him..

Every kid is different... my first son was completely trained by 2.5, this means night time too. My second son is getting close to 3.5 and its not looking good at all. My daughter is 20 months and shes got it down, she just cant do nothing by herself because shes so little.
