So it's our first deployment and really want to make his homecoming special. I want him to know how excited we are to have him home. I am making a sign for outside but have no idea what else to do. Any ideas? 

I had small flags lining the driveway and some really pretty red/white/blue bows on my fence. I got the ribbon from Joanns. I made them myself, they were sparkly and really cute. I made a red/white/blue tutu for my little girl to wear and had a special bow made for her by my friend in NY. Hubs said he was able to pick her out in the crowd bc she was so 'fancy' :) I also had a cake made for him. Most importantly, I had everything out and ready for him for a nice HOT shower. Congrats on getting ur hubby back.. I can't wait to decorate again. Only 8 more months! ha

Decorate the car!!! :) Homecomings are the best! Cant wait to do it again! I miss him! 

HAHAHAHAHA.... prob not a good idea to have hubby come home and see his boys in skirts. I used Inktastic.com to have her shirt made and they did a great job and I got it really fast. I had ordered a shirt saying ' Welcome home Spc....' and the month before he came home, he got promoted lol, so I had to order a new one and get it quick! I ordered the 'Welcome Home Sgt..' one and had it in 5 days. Just an idea. Their prices are very reasonable. If you do order from them, their sizes do run a little big for the kids stuff. 

I have red white and blue streamers that we are going to use to decorate the dining room in. Im also going to pick up some mylar balloons to tie to some red white and blue weights in the dining room, probably going to tie a few to the handrail outside our front door as well. I love the idea of the little flags lining the drive way, so going on my to do list. We made a few signs, "my daddy is home" and "we heart you" gonna make 2 more probably in the near future. Im also making hubby's favorite cookies and some cupcakes for him since he doesnt care for cake. I got the stuff for his favorite meal as well. Im going to pull out his shower stuff soon as well and make sure there is a nice fluffy towel waiting on him when he gets home. The kids are getting shirts that say dad or I heart dad on them. I think im going to make some red white and blue stars to put on the stairs too. Maybe use some chalk to write on the front steps.

The flower shop at the px sells mylar balloons that say "Welcome Home".

Im getting mine from the dollar store, not sure if the flower shop is cheaper, but cants beat a dollar for a mylar balloon. I think the dollar tree has ones that say welcome home as well, atleast they do on their website. Ill also be picking up red white and blue star balloons. 

My MIL made my kids shirts front says move it or lose it!! back of it says my daddy is coming home and i will run you over to get to him!! I dont get too into the whole homecoming thing i mean im glad he will be home but i normally just do a sign which this time i have 4 signs!! and make sure im stocked up on his favrite foods/meals 

Every time my hubby comes home from a deployment I have a huge gift bag waiting for him when we get home with all of his favorite candy, soda, a new piece of lingerie for me to wear, a new video game, a new Ranger Up or Tapout shirt etc. He loves it! I also do the signs, and this last time I made each of my girls an ACU pillowcase dress trimmed in yellow and matching hairbows. 

Lots of good ideas, thanks. I just went to hobby lobby and they had a lot of streamers, bows garland flags, etc. I'm just really excited since it's our first deployment.
