ok so why is it i feel more comfortable talking to my hubby's grandma and grandpa then i do my own? maybe because i know my grandma and grandpa chose favortism over my other cousins and not me, i dont know its hard to explain. does anyone else feel this way with there own family? 

I dont have any grandparents still living but when i was dating my husband in high school when they were still alive i talked to his granparents more and seen his grandparents more its becuase of the same reason you said is they chose favortism. my grandma would always go out and buy things for my aunts 2 kids but wouldnt buy for any of the other grand kids. 

i mean they bought me stuff, but sometimes i feel like it was because maybe my parents didnt take me to the mall to buy my clothes, it was always the thrift store or kmart and my parents and i kno what it feels like to live poor, and my grandparents have money where as we didnt when i was growing up, ya know what i mean? and my other cousins had money too. and they had favortism towards them and they still do today. its just strange to me.
im sorry to hear about your grandparents. 

they even went to my cousins graduation, and they go to Arkansas for my cousins b-day, and they have never come to see me on my b-day when i was livng at home. my grandparents live in Alabama. see where im coming from. its crazy to me. 

I also have a relationship like this with my IL's. I seem to be able to talk to his parents with more comfort then my own. I guess its because my mom is too busy with her career, and her life, and his parents actually listen and try to give me the best advice possible.
