Does anybody know when the 977th MP co's ball will be held? Just curious because I'm pregnant and my husband's about to deploy so wondering if I'll get to go and whether I'll be wearing a tent, lol. I haven't gotten plugged into FRG yet, brand new here... Thanks!

Hey my husband is in the 977th but he is deployed with half the unit already. From what I have been told it is going to be in Sept but I can find out the for sure date because it is already on the schedule. The Ball will be before the second group deploys but even when they are gone you still can go. The FRG is doing a dress exchange in August as well. Let me know if you need anymore information and welcome. 

Oh haha, yeah there was a meeting about the gown swap and I was going to go, but then something came up. It was a red flag to me that the thing might be coming up soon. Yeah my husband's with the second group so we might actually be able to do the ball together. That'd be nice. I will be like three months pregnant though, so minor bump-age. I might not be a good candidate for dress swapping bc of maternity situation but will check it out. When's the meeting in August? All I have is a terrific little long black slinky strappy number (a little sparkly, but subtle). My hub wants me to wear it and it might work but I'd like to compare and see what other women are planning to wear. 

Yeah he will be able to make it they wont be swapping out until after the first of the year or around that time. They actually planned it so the 2nd group could go. I am still undecided because my husband won't be here but they are really nice. The last one we had was almost 2 years ago so it would be nice to go to one more since we are pcsing in May to Bragg. I will try to get the dress exchange date and then I will foward it to you. Oh and I think your dress will be fine you will see a little bit of everything. 

Thanks for the help! I'm really stoked because we're new to Riley, new to the Army and I really wanted to experience a ball with him. :) Maybe you could go with girlfriends if you have a few close friends? Yeah I think the dress will work - this is just our second child and the pooch is expanding faster than I thought it would. Haha, but it'll be ok. I'll roll with the punches and figure something out closer to the time if I have to. The dress IS more of a really really nice dinner dress, not a prom-ish ball gown, per se. Is that OK or will I be under-dressed?
