If you were once a smoker, what did you do to stop? How long did it take? How difficult was it for you? Did you ever start again? 

I smoked for three years. I got pregnant and quit. It wasn't hard for me to quit I knew it wasn't about me anymore. I did start up again when she was 2 months old and smoked for a month and quit again. I still love smoking but I can't bring myself to bring that around my daughter so I probably won't smoke again. 

just cold turkey? 

Yep. I was pregnant. I wasn't going to smoke. I gave my pack to my friend and called it quits.

I got pregnant. Smoked since i was 15. I will smoke when i drink but i rarely drink anymore so i dont smoke haha. 

I've been a smoker for 6 years, I've tried quitting 1 time, and my next try is March 1 and I'm ready to be done with it! 

I smoked for 27 years, at least a pack a day, and two years ago I bought a pack, went to the casino and smoke the entire pack in about 2 hours. I have not had one or even wanted one since:) 

i have smoked for 9 years and i am so ready to quit but i can never bring myself to do it. i smoke when i wake up(2-3) actually i smoke with my morning/allday coffee i smoke after i eat i smoke when i am bored and i smoke after an intimate moment and i smoke before bed i smoke when i drink and i smoke in a social setting its like i would have to learn how to live my life all over again and i dont know how to do that 

I smoked when I was younger..then I got pregnant. I quit during my entire pregnancy. Every once in a while I would have one but not anymore. I have no real desire for one and they smell disgusting to me 

It took me getting pregnant, quit until she was almost 3months old and my husband came home with chew and a pack of smokes bc he didn't know which to do; so of course I ended up having to help him smoke them, haha....but as of 2 days ago we together have quit again!! Cold Turkey here we go! 

When I was 16 I used to smoke, Not a lot but just everyonce in awhile, My Grandma Died of enphazema (SP?) AND I decided that it was not something I wanted and I quit before I was 18. My Dad has been a smoker all his life and has Enphazema now, but he just cant quit, thankfully he doesnt smoke inside the house anymore-mostly because when I was pregnate I was living at home and the smell made me sick and I would throw up- But then after the birth of his first graddaughter he never went back to smoking in the house, and if they are all out side he wont smoke around them. 2nd hand smoke is so BAD! I keep praying that he will stop smoking, because now he really is killing himself....he already has bad ashma so enphazema on top of that.....well yea, Not sure how long he wil live. 

2nd hand smoke is so BAD Yes it is! I hate the smell of cigarette smoke! gag!! My mother in law smokes and she does it outside BUT if she's in the car and my daughter and step son are in there with her she still smokes. I can't stand it! It makes me so mad. I do not want that nasty stuff blowing in my daughter's face and getting into her lungs. My mil keeps the window rolled down but it still blows back into the back seat. I don't want it going into my step son's face either but I can control more on what happens with my daughter and I won't let her ride with her anymore.
