Hi Valerie, nice to meet you as well. Sometimes I just need to talk to other women in my age group. Can you relate to that? The younger wives are great, just make me feel ancient!!! 

I need to get my mom to come chat in here but shes a few years older Laura shell be 45. My mom makes me feel old though.. lol 

Believe or not- "this old Hag" as I was called here- (I should change my name- but it is such an ugly one) is going to be 43 in July! I have been married now 17 years last month, three children, 18, 15 and 14! And I am in the midst of some changes- at my age! I am trying to be re trained in a another Profession, took first steps at it and hopefully will be working in that chosen field soon! I am still debating if full or part time- but that will sort itself out in time! Well - so I believe!

We in the 40's do not like to be called old- because ourselves feel still very young! It hurts our integrity! And when you look at women our age- most of us have already grown children- we have experienced it all and just sometimes we look back and kinda linger into our 20's- but then just look ahead and feel the strength and resilience for women of our age! We have surpassed some and better things are to come- it is like a wine- the older- the better! In German we would say:" Je oller- desto doller"! Same meaning! I do not regret being my age- I have no regrets- I do not miss being very young- but these days( that is gonna read very odd now) I can tell my age more and more- I am not breaking down- I have too much to do and energy for that- but whoa..there are days! And then I get up and do not dwell and move it- shake it! I'll never just lay down and stay still- my hands under my legs! Never! Hi Good Morning Laura- I am Judith by the way- I changed my name- because my old name was closed! Somebody very smart already mentioned that! 

My mom is going to be 45 and kinda started again when I got married there is me going on 26, I have a 13 yr old sister, 6 yr old brother and 4 yr old twin brothers.. Thats why I say she makes me feel old I dunno how she does it, then shes always wants the grandkids.. lol

40 years young here! I love being my age, it is a new beging of sorts. I am now comfortable in who I am, not afraid to speak my mind, and have so much more freedom then I did when I was younger. While it is great to chat it up with the younger crowd, there are days I find myself longing for more mature company. I don't consider myself old just aged to perfection! 

My mom is 42.. im 25 we get along GREAT!!!

OH Stop..I am practically a chick! LOl- I have still some fluff on my derriere! And the same Spunk as a Young ins too! 

Lol! My hubby is 25 and I am 35 young! He calls me an old hag when we argue (mostly because I tend to mother him, lol) and I hate it! It makes me feel bad. I don't know why I let it get to me, but oh well. LOL! I am still very young and proud of my age, as I am glad to hear that all of the beautiful 40 somethings on here do as well. I have always looked up to the 40+ women in my life (especially while in my younger 20's) because they were still gorgeous, some even better than when they were younger, and so much wiser! 

I am 42 will be 43 in Sept. I am with you the younger ladies are nice but absolutely nothing in common. I feel like I want to give motherly advice all the time. I dont have older kids, well sort of older, my youngest is 10 oldest is 15 I waited to have kids. I have been married since 1987 and my husband has been in the military since 1986. I am on vacation in Colorado right now. Tomorrow is white water rafting YAY and the Royal Gorge bridge then back to Kansas on Friday blah oops my name is Rhonda
